대학로, 영화배우 양성소!

지난해 9월, 명필름이 제작하는 김응수 감독의 <욕망>의 배우 오디션 본선장. 응모자 400명 가운데 10명을 1차로 추린 결과 3명이 방송국 탤런트 출신이고 나머지 7명이 연극배우였다. 이후 90년대 초반까지 텔레비전 탤런트들의 영화 나들이가 붐을 이뤘다. 그러나 탤런트 출신 가운데 충무로에서 어느 정도 자리를 잡은 배우를 꼽아보면 고소영 장동건 김희선씨 등 열명이 채 안된다. 몇년 전까지만 해도 대학로에선 배우들의 영화나 텔레비전 출연을 고깝게 보던 시선도 이제는 많이 누그러졌다.요즘 연극계의 입이 삐죽 나온 것은 당연하다. “연극 개막이 한달 앞으로 다가왔는데도 요즘 같으면 연습을 할 수가 없다.
