FC안양의 창단 과정은, RED가 외부의 힘에 의해 좌우되는 수동적 희생자의 위치를 넘어 자신의 정체성을 스스로 정립해가는 주체적 주인이 되는 과정이기도 하다. <수카바티>에서 가장 인상적인 장면은 상암월드컵경기장에서 FC안양과 FC서울이 맞붙은 경기에서 RED의 상징인 홍염이 타오르며 관중석을 붉게 물들이는 장면일 것이다. <수카바티>의 선호빈, 나바루 감독은 그날의 경기 결과에 조금의 관심도 기울이지 않는다.

[음반] 잭슨의 마지막 선물

모두가 이 앨범에서 가장 기대하는 건 물론 동명 타이틀 신곡인 <This Is It>일 거다. 아름다운 오케스트라의 도움으로 진행되는 이 아름다운 발라드의 노랫말은 이렇게 시작한다. “그래 이거야. 난 여기 서 있어. 난 세상의 빛이야. 난 당당해.” 앨범의 부클릿에 적혀 있는 시 Earth>를 직접 낭송한 트랙도 있다. 이 트랙은 이렇게 끝난다. “작은 행성 지구. 온화하고 푸르다. 내 모든 마음을 담아, 너를 사랑해.” 1년 전이었다면 이 무슨 나이브한 지구 예찬론이냐며 불평을 늘어놓았을 거다.
